* Serves as Lead Researcher in all matters
* Assists Commissioner in league logistics
COMMISSIONER EMERITUS
Mike Manuel - second person to join the league. Commissioner for
sixty seasons in modern era.
Jim Maurer - co-founder of the league. Commissioner for league's
first fifteen seasons.
Responsibilities of all Commissioners
* Readily make themselves available to assist any league member
* Cross-train in all areas of the front office
* Participate in all beta-testing of new features
* Serve the Commissioner in an advisory capacity for all league
matters

Sports Writers Association
Publish the annual SWA Awards - the Bing
Bennett Most Valuable Player, the James Maurer General Manager of the
Year, and the Tim Arkwright Rookie of the Year.
Responsibilities of all SWA Members
* Submit an annual SWA Ballot immediately following the regular season
* Ballot entries must be based solely on regular season statistics
* Must notify SWA Director if they have a scheduling conflict and are
unable to vote
* Must honor the integrity of the game by refusing to allow his own
players to bias his ballot
